Privacy Policy

How Luxtronics collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text) when you create an account.

Order information: the delivery address, phone number, and items you order, kept as a permanent record of that order even if you later edit or delete a saved address — a past order's shipping details never change retroactively.

Enquiry information: if you submit a contact form or product enquiry, we collect the details you provide (name, email, phone, city, and your message) to respond to you.

Technical information: standard web request information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and to keep the Site working correctly.

We do not collect payment card details on our servers: at present the Site operates on a Cash on Delivery basis only, so no card or bank information is transmitted to us at checkout.

2. Your Shopping Cart

Items you add to your cart are stored only in your own browser (using its local storage), not on our servers, until you place an order. This means your cart is private to the device and browser you are using, and clearing your browser's site data will clear your cart.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account; to process, fulfil, and deliver your orders; to communicate with you about an order's status, a refund, or a support request you raised; to respond to enquiries; to detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the Site; and to comply with applicable tax, invoicing, and consumer-protection record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who We Share Information With

Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order and provide tracking updates.

Where an order includes a product sourced from a supplier for drop-shipment, the delivery address and order details necessary to fulfil that specific item are shared with that supplier for shipping purposes only.

Live chat (Crisp): where enabled, the Crisp chat widget lets you message our support team directly from the Site. It does not receive your account details, order history, or payment information — only what you choose to type into the chat window.

Service providers who host our infrastructure, send transactional emails on our behalf, or otherwise process data strictly to help us operate the Site, under obligations to keep it confidential.

Law enforcement or regulatory authorities, only where required by applicable Indian law.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and thereafter for as long as necessary to meet tax, accounting, warranty, and consumer-dispute recordkeeping obligations under Indian law. If you deactivate your account, your profile is marked inactive rather than deleted outright where you have order history, so that historical orders, invoices, and any open warranty/return claims remain intact and auditable.

6. Your Rights

You may access, update, or correct your account details at any time from your account page. You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our need to retain order records for tax, warranty, and legal-compliance purposes as described above.

You may exercise these rights, or raise any question about how your information is handled, through our Contact page or through the process described in our Grievance Redressal Policy. These rights are provided consistent with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage, encrypted connections (HTTPS) to the Site, and access controls that limit which staff can view customer or order data based on their role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
